The Apiary Registration Code designates DEQ as the Community’s lead Department responsible for administering the Code. Any beekeeper seeking to place a managed apiary within the Community must first register the apiary(s) with the Pesticide Control Office. Beekeepers seeking registration, must pay a fee and possess a valid contract with an agricultural grower to place their apiary(s) on land leased or owned by the agricultural grower. Beekeepers must also clearly identify their managed apiary(s) with their name and telephone number.
