Community Certified Applicator

Community Certified Applicators are certified by the Pesticide Control Office and are authorized to apply general use AND restricted use pesticides within the Gila River Indian Community. For a pesticide applicator to obtain this level of certification, they must complete an Authorization Application which includes the submittal of their Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) applicator certification credential and a nominal fee.

To receive an EPA applicator certification, an EPA certification application can be completed and submitted directly to EPA Region 9, or it can be submitted along with the completed  Authorization Application to the Pesticide Control Office. Once an applicator submits the application packet, the Pesticide Control Office reviews the packet and upon approval, issues the applicator the appropriate certification.
